Contribute Now to Wildfire Relief

Contributions to the California Community Foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation's board of directors.

In the wake of three disastrous wildfires that surged over the weekend in Southern California, the California Community Foundation pledges to match the first $250,000 contributed to the Southern California Wildfire Relief Fund and take no administrative fees to ensure all donations will be used for relief activities.

Nearly 41,000 acres and hundreds of homes were burned, forcing thousands of residents to flee. CCF is committed to helping with intermediate and long-term recovery as well as preparedness efforts, focusing on nonprofits serving low-income residents.

Through the generosity of donors and Los Angeles residents, the California Community Foundation (CCF) has been able to respond quickly and effectively when disaster strikes. For more than 20 years, CCF has supported domestic and international emergency relief efforts. In 2003 and 2007, we raised more than $3 million altogether to support relief and recovery efforts in the aftermath of devastating wildfires in Southern California. In 2007, we distributed $2,166,050 in grants to 20 Southern California organizations.
